Q. Please tell me about you and your family. How long have you been in Estrella and where did you move from?
A. I am a Real Estate Broker in Estrella and my husband, Mr. Budge, is a Teacher at Estrella Elementary [14+years]. Married in 1981. [Before Estrella was created, as a child, my family played and lived in this specific area, now Estrella Mountain Ranch.] My parents were one of the first families to buy a lot in Estrella in the 80's so we have had a connection to Estrella since its beginning. In 1999, I moved to Estrella with my husband and 4 children, who have all grown up in Estrella... 2 graduating from Estrella Foothills High School, (EFHS), and Estrella Mountain Elementary School. Two of our daughters worked at the Estrella Mountain Golf Course until they graduated from college and married their husbands after meeting them while employed at the EMR Golf course. One of my daughters worked at the elementary school and was one of the first graduating class at EFHS. She joined my Real Estate Team this month. My only son, Wes, was part of the 3 time state EFHS basketball team and was a lifeguard at the Estrella Waterpark for 4 years until he went away to college. My Family is Estrella! We live here now as well as one of my daughters, her husband, and 3 of our 7 grandchildren. We wouldn't choose to live any place else.

Q. You are super quick to share good news in the community through social media. How has social media changed the real estate business in the past 10 years?
A. Honestly, I am all about relationships - so was skeptical about social media initially. But, once I realized that social media can be a positive impact on our community, I was quick to engage and offer a positive outlook. Still, I like to engage and interact personally with my Real Estate customers and clients and believe that social media is necessary today in any business. |
Q. Can you please tell me about your business? What is your commitment to your customers?
A. I was first licensed in Real Estate in 1980. Real Estate has always been my passion. [With a young family in the late 80s and 90s, I was not able to commit to my business as much as I know RE requires so did not sell for a few years while concentrating on my family.] In 2001, I decided to re-commit to my favorite "work"... Real Estate. With the support of my family, I was able to return and commit to serving clients in RE. I obtained my Broker License so that I can be more educated to better serve. My commitment is 100% and we are able to treat every customer as if they were our only customer and every home as if it were a luxury home! "Do what you love and you won't 'work' a day in your life"... our outlook.

Q. Can you give us three quick tips for selling a home?
A. 1. Price it correctly! 2. Staging and photography are KEY to attracting potential buyers. BOTH 1 and 2 MUST include stellar marketing! And 3. Use an agent that knows the neighborhood! |

Q. How is the home buying market in Estrella?
A. Our market is what I label "level" right now. We do have over 100 homes on the market--some of those are now "new builds" mixed with the re-sale homes. Our absorption rate of inventory is equal to the valley. I recommend buying and selling now to avoid the projected interest rate increase. The market typically becomes more saturated in the cooler months.

Q. What is one thing you'd like to see in Estrella over the next ten years?
A. If you would have asked me that in the past 10 years, I would have said a grocery store, pharmacy, bagel shop, restaurants, nail shop, physicians for people and pets, more bike trails and park, waterpark, workout center. We have all the basics now... Newland has done a wonderful job developing our community. The HOA is more and more Homeowner and Realtor friendly. Maybe we could improve on landscape maintenance so that it is safer for drivers and homeowners and stays aesthetically attractive. Q. Do you have any tips for young families living in Estrella as far as finding fun things to do together?
A. Our community has many options... movies, youth center, yacht club, reading, waterpark and more. Walking around the lake is a fun activity for all ages. With Social Media sites like Estrella Residents, Hilltop Moms and more, parents can connect and develop a positive support system. Not to mention...our schools ROCK! |
