This month, we make a $250 donation to the New Life Center in Goodyear. New Life Center offers shelter, safety and services to families seeking independent, violence-free lives. High-quality programs demonstrate respect for the individual and a serene environment in which families can heal and plan for the future.

$714.56 AND DONATIONS OF FOOD
Resident Deborah Mastros coordinated a community-wide effort to show the Goodyear Police our appreciation for what they do to protect residents. In collaboration with Estrella Mountain Residents, she raised $714.56 and donations of food and drinks to provide a breakfast/lunch for Goodyear Police on July 19, 2016. THANK YOU DEBORAH!

Estrella Mountain Residents supports local charities using 100% of the profits we raise through advertising on our website.
The best way to keep a community calendar, community news, and our feature section highlighted is to have a website. Why? When we solely put the information on our Facebook page, the information tends to get buried and difficult to find. With a website, residents can see upcoming events and refer back to the features and other important reminders at any time. The website obviously comes at a nominal cost which Jen pays for and puts her personal time into creating. To offset that, we have chosen to invite local businesses and residents to sponsor their favorite pages on our site. |

EASTER 2016
On Easter Sunday, a house fire destroyed an Estrella home. The community came out in full force to support the Harman Family with donations, funds, and kind gestures.
A GoFundMe page Estrella Mountain Residents established raised more than $17,000 and an account set up at our local Chase Bank brought in more than $1,600. THANK YOU, ESTRELLA! |

I started the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party because I was blessed to see little children in Namibia open their shoe boxes and it was so touching! They were lit up like Christmas trees over toothbrushes, toys and candy, things our children here don't appreciate. And what a simple project to get our community involved of all ages! Businesses can donate items, people can make things, and we can shop the sales all year long and the second year we doubled the amount of boxes that we put together! It is so rewarding to see the kids packing for kids around the world and knowing that we are really going to change that child's life. Estrella Residents were sad to learn that a member of Estrella Mountain Church, Joe Richards, passed away in July while playing golf at the Golf Club of Estrella. We raised $662.95 for Joe Richards' family and by establishing a GoFundMe account.

3RD DONATION: In July 2015, Estrella Mountain Residents donated $250 to the Homeless Youth Connection. Founder Larry Cervarich joined us for a group photo with a few of our sponsors.
